As an emotion, anger has a very negative reputation. We associate it with conflicts, aggression and being overly emotional. But anger has a positive side. It can facilitate emotional connections with others, remind us to take care of ourselves, pinpoint moments in which we experience unjust actions of others, and tell us when we need to take action to change our lives. We learn our anger style from our parents, use it in conflicts with our loved ones, and re-experience these same angry interactions with our own children. But this cycle can be changed! This talk will explore the emotion of anger as a transformational force in our lives, as well as ways to discover the positive aspects of the anger inside you.
